Eternal Optics manufactures advanced Erbium Fiber Laser Zoom Beam Expanders designed for high-precision 1550 nm fiber laser systems, including erbium-doped fiber lasers (EDFL) and eye-safe laser applications. Our variable beam expansion optics provide continuously adjustable magnification, allowing precise control of beam diameter, divergence angle, and optical performance for demanding photonics systems.
Unlike fixed-ratio beam expanders, a 1550nm Zoom Beam Expander enables dynamic adjustment of the laser beam size to meet different application requirements. Erbium Fiber Laser Beam Expander
The most common type beam expander is derived from the Galilean telescope which usually has one negative input lens and one positive output lens. The input lens presents a virtual beam focus at the output. For low expansion ratios, the Galilean telescope is most often em- ployed due to simplicity, small package size and low cost. Beam expanders are commonly used to magnify the laser diameter that is to be focused back in a smaller spot size.
